Product Purity is Essential

At NuLife Foods, we take pride in maintaining the highest level of integrity in our manufacturing processes. Our food is manufactured at our USDA-inspected, FDA-approved facility, under the strictest guidelines.

 

Preventing Cross-Contamination of Food Allergens

Simply designating a manufacturing plant as GFCFSF does not guarantee that the products will be entirely free of these allergens. Rather, a facility must have consistent procedures and monitoring systems in place to ensure the purity of their foods, from the raw ingredients to the finished, packaged products. You will notice that our product labels state that our foods are made in a facility that processes various allergens, including gluten, casein and soy. However, NuLife Foods products are guaranteed to be gluten, casein and soy free. How can that be?

 

The answer is simple, even though our certification procedures are anything but! We have adopted some of the most stringent practices in the industry to prevent inadvertent allergens from occurring, including completely sanitizing and swab-testing equipment, air, etc. , ensuring that NuLife Foods production runs are conducted on days where no other products are present, carefully sourcing every ingredient and lab-testing finished product to ensure product purity has been maintained at every step.

 

USDA and FDA Compliance

NuLife Foods produces its products in a USDA-inspected, FDA-approved manufacturing facility. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is responsible for the safety of meat, poultry and processed egg products, and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is responsible for virtually all other foods. The FDA publishes the Food Code, a model set of guidelines and procedures that assists food control jurisdictions by providing a scientifically sound technical and legal basis for regulating the retail and food service industries. Both agencies require adherence to rigorous standards and our facilities are continuously inspected to ensure compliance with all USDA and FDA policies and procedures.

 

Third Party Audits

Our manufacturing facilities are audited annually by AIB International, founded in 1919 and offering rigorous independent inspections, superior audits and training. AIB GMP inspections and food safety audits are conducted by a professionally trained staff of food safety auditors. Food processors who participate in the in-plant audit program receive a complete examination and technical assistance in all areas that impact the safety, quality and food defense of the product. The audits evaluate the adequacy of documentation, compliance to documented procedures, effectiveness of procedures to control the process within defined limits and the ability to implement corrective and preventive action plans. AIB issues a certificate of achievement if the facility passes inspection, based upon the rating received on the day of inspection.
