Quality Products Begin with Great Ingredients
All NuLife Foods products are gluten, casein and soy-free. That is a given. But we believe what we put in our food is just as important as what we do not!
We’ve listened to doctors and families caring for children on the autism spectrum, and we’ve heard what many have to say about the foods they want to serve their families. Wholesome, natural products without preservatives and artificial colors and flavors. Foods high in protein and omega-3 fatty acids, made with fresh veggies, healthier oils and gluten free grains.
Being on a GFCFSF diet shouldn’t mean “missing out” on your favorite foods. That is why we make NuLife food taste so good, you won’t even miss the gluten, casein or soy! We don’t use “fake” ingredients to mimic the taste of foods on the “no-no” list. Just good old fashioned ingredients and a little creativity to make products that taste great, naturally.
Supplier Requirements
Every ingredient and product supplier we use must have:
A Letter of Guarantee.
A letter from the supplier, guaranteeing that all their ingredients and products are manufactured in compliance with all applicable federal regulations on safety and wholesomeness.
Certificate of Insurance.
Suppliers must be fully licensed and insured.
Ingredient/Allergen Disclosure.
NuLife requires full ingredient disclosure, including ingredient declarations (including allergens) and complete nutritional information of all products on file before they can be purchased. Vendors supply a complete list of items that contain allergens and must confirm how these products are warehoused to avoid inadvertent cross contamination. All ingredients must be GFCFSF.
HACCP Plan.
HACCP stands for “Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points” and is the highest standard for ensuring that, at every point in the food handling process, from farm to fork, the food is being handled properly using documented procedures to ensure product safety. Every product and production facility must have a customized HAACP plan.
Third Party Audit.
Third-party auditors conduct a thorough analysis of all a vendor’s policies and procedures, rating them and providing comparisons against industry benchmarks. We review third party audits for every supplier.
Country of Origin of Products.
Vendors must provide the country of origin for every product.
Lot Tracking Procedure.
Vendors must be capable of lot tracking every ingredient in every product, for the purposes of ensuring product safety and integrity.
Supplier Product Testing
Every ingredient and product we source is carefully selected based on the above factors, as well as our own testing procedures. NuLife sources each product carefully, selecting only the highest quality, best tasting ingredients from suppliers demonstrating Good Manufacturing Practices and acceptable testing procedures.
As an added precaution, the NuLife quality assurance staff authenticates each ingredient, carefully reviewing labels, researching ingredient sources and analyzing lab test results for gluten, casein and soy, before using these ingredients in our products.
